The apartment owes its appellation to its large size (390 sq.ft.), is arranged on two floors and is comfortably furnished with antique pieces coming from the Lazzeri family who once inhabited the house. The large fireplace in the vast living room features a hand-carved stone mantle, hewn by a local stonemason and carrying the carved Lazzeri family coat of arms (the past, springing from the earth, is represented by ears of wheat and a cup of wine; the present, portrayed by the earth and a book, symbolizes the culture acquired by the family and intended as a progress which not only does not clash with but is generated by the family attachment to the land of their ancestors; the future, combining the family farming past and the current hard-working professional activity, is embodied by two bees, as two are the owner’s sons, Andrea and Edoardo).
